Dax and I met while working at Macey's, but not until his last day of work when he came through my checkstand. We flirted with each other and it eventually led to us being married on March 11, 2006. Dax moved to Logan since I was going to school there and then he started school the semester after we were married. He began working at Hyclone Laboratories, where he is still employed today. While in my last semester of school we were surprised by some shocking news. We were expecting a baby in October. I luckily got through the morning sickness and was able to graduate in the Spring of 2007. I was hired at Migrant Head Start as the Infant Teacher. I took care of 8 babies under the age of one for 8 hours a day. It was great practice. Dax came in and volunteered a lot, and I loved seeing him with the little babies. It made me even more excited for our baby. After about 4 months of work I had to quit and had Ryan a fews days after on October 27th. It was a very easy labor and delivery...thank goodness for modern medicine! As if you can't tell by our blog, we are very proud of our little Ryan. He is growing up too fast, but we love watching him learn new things. Dax is a great dad. Ryan always smiles from ear to ear when dad walks through the door. Dax works very hard to support our family so that I can stay home with Ryan. He is still working full time and going to school full time. He wants to go out in Biological Engineering, and he has really tough classes but is doing well. He teases that he is on an 8 year program for a Bachelor's Degree...but we sure hope it doesn't take that long. We love being in Logan and are glad to only be a little ways away from most of our family. We are grateful for all of our many blessings and hope to keep being blessed as our family grows!
